Her daughter has not seen her dad in over a year. Her daughter does not want to go with her dad. Parents and community members organized a protest outside of Pinehurst Elementary during pickup time. Olivia Wackett says she had just attended an event at the school a week prior. It's so jarring to have gone from experiencing that and feeling like this true sense of belonging and community and loving and supporting one another.
