You might not get a 100-point season, but you might get the guy who is functionally responsible in everything.
I think the contract plays a role into this.
So the Garland probably makes more sense.
And I think there's a lot of people saying, well, he doesn't work as hard as Garland.
So how would that play out?
But he scores more goals than Garland.
You can put him without stress on the power play.
He's one of the best net front guys in the league.
And he's scored a ton of goals these past two years on the power play.
And for teams that are looking for any sort of power play boost, you can put him out there and it's like, hey, we're going to get 15 goals just on the power play.
Not just from him, but also, okay, what does he open up for everyone else?
When you've had as much success as he had the past couple of years, okay, you might lose some play driving five on five, but are you actually getting raw production, which he's done these past two years here?
And it's like a huge credit to him because, you know, when he came in, there was a lot of questions from, like, what his time at Boston was, can he score independently?
He hasn't had a lot of service 5-on-5.
He's been a mixed bag of centers.
Obviously, we've talked about Elias Pettersson's struggles the last couple of years.
