I think he's played either eight or nine games thus far, something like that.
But he's still point per game.
And he's going to get used heavily in this playoff series against Pittsburgh.
Like, look, I'm not saying that Porter Martin is going to be a superstar.
I have no idea how this is ultimately going to play out.
But seeing the impact that he's made this soon, coming out of college, jumping right into a playoff race, like,
I'm not going to lie, it reminds me a bit of Kael McCarr when he jumped into a playoff series and was immediately one of the best players on the ice for the Colorado Avalanche.
Like, for DeMartin, since he's joined the Flyers, he's immediately been one of their best players.
That's what the stats say.
That's what the eyes say.
I mean, he's a six overall pick for a reason.
He's a high-end talent, and the Flyers, I think, got a good one in him.
I would say not what it used to be, but the tension is rising.
And this playoff series, it just seems like it's coming at the perfect time.
There was a game earlier this season where Trevor Zegers, in particular, was kicking off like every single member of the Penguins.
He knocked off one of the Penguins' helmets in a scrum while he was on the ice, and then the entire Penguins' team attacked him.
It was a blast to watch as a media person.
It's like, oh, man, the hate's coming back.
And I am very hopeful.
I don't know who's going to win the series.
