And I don't think he, I don't think this is a case of like the goaltending carrying a bad team.
I think the Flyers are a fine team, but they were finally getting better than fine goaltending.
And one thing too about the Flyers that you have to, you have to realize and, you know, came out again last night is,
Flyers have a tendency to fall behind.
They had a tendency all year to give up the first goal.
They gave up the first goal, I believe, more than 50 times this season.
And that wasn't just fluky.
They often got off to very slow starts.
And I can tell you on so many occasions this year, the Flyers would play terribly in the first like 10, 12, 14 minutes and probably should have been 2-0, 3-0.
And instead, it's 1-0 because Dan Vladar saved them while they were playing themselves into the game.
And then they would come back and win.
But if you don't have that solid goaltending to keep you in the game while you're not playing that well, then you're probably going to lose 4-1.
And then you're probably not going to come close to making the playoffs.
Give a lot of credit to Dan Vladar.
He's taken a step in his career.
I think he's establishing himself this season as a clear-cut number one.
Not an elite goalie.
I don't think he's going to get Vezna votes or anything.
But he's establishing himself as a clear-cut number one and solidifying at least one half of the Flyers' goaltending situation.
He's not that old.
