So, you know, I think if everything comes together, I could see them going on at least a mini run.
I don't see them...
as a true contender just yet, but it's a team headed in the right direction.
That's being driven by young players that I think are only going to get better and better and better in the years to come.
Oh boy.
No pressure, kid, right?
I mean, it's got to be nice to have that confidence, but, you know, it does come with a little bit of expectation.
You know, when fans hear that, what are you going to think?
I mean, I'm sure there's a lot of fans in Montreal and around Quebec that are clamoring for this guy to be the guy.
I mean, the oldest of those fans will remember that Ken Dryden once helped the Canadians win a Stanley Cup as a rookie goalie.
Maybe the next generation down will remember that Patrick Waugh once did it in 1986.
As a rookie goalie, I mean, they did throw Carey Price between the pipes.
I know they didn't win a Stanley Cup with him as their goaltender, but it certainly wasn't his fault.
You know, any of the long runs they had, he was in the middle of it all.
And so, you know, it's been kind of a special organization for goalies.
And, you know, I do know there's a lot of hype around the kid.
I'm sure that's one thing that the organization is trying to manage.
And, you know, when you have a franchise legend say that, I'm sure Carey meant well by those words.
CJ, he had to have known.
