And I would still argue the best.

I'm somewhat biased in that.

But the great Western Greenway in County Mayo is just stunning.

You've Clew Bay on one side, you've Crowpatrick.

You're starting, what I would suggest, OK, it starts in Westport.

It finishes on Ackle, beautiful Ackle Island.

But my advice, if you are perhaps going to pop that fundamental question at some point in the near future...

would be go to Mulroney, because there's a beautiful hotel there, the Mulroney Park Hotel.

It overlooks Mulroney Bay.

It's an extraordinary strand there.

But Mulroney is essentially the halfway point.

So if you go stay in Mulroney, you can take one day, maybe cycle back into Newport and Westport.

It's about 18 kilometres to Newport and roughly another, about 30 in total to Westport.

That's one day done.

You can go into Westport.

Yeah, exactly.

And then if you want the next day, head into Ackle, onto beautiful Ackle Island, one of the most beautiful sections of that route.

The landscape becomes, as you might expect, a bit wilder.

The Atlantic comes into view.

And, you know, again, the biggest mistake people make is treating that greenway and needles as something to be completed rather.
