to teach these guys from their mistakes than it is on, on, on video or any of that stuff, because it's fresh, it's there.
And, and you can, you can kind of apply it the next shift or whenever, whenever it comes again, um, you know, the X's and O's and getting stronger and all that kind of stuff physically and, and skating wise, you can do that in the summertime.
But when it, when it comes to the plays, because, you know, all these guys can skate and they can all play the game.
It's just more of understanding, you know, kind of, uh,
you know, what their assets are and, you know, and, and, you know, go by each play because, you know, every game's different, you know, you can have the same systems and other teams can have the same systems, but, you know, it's a game of variables.
You get a, you know, bounce here or, you know, bounces off there or they make, they make this play or there's delays.
What do you do?
You know, and that's, and it's easier to coach that way and teach these guys.
I think they have learned a lot, but there's a ways to go.
But I think it's a good core.
I really do.
You know when it happened?
It kind of started in my second year.
Because the first year, I mean, I was very offensive.
And they just told me, because, excuse me, we didn't have very many, you know, offensive players.
And they just said, Dave, just go.
Just go.
Try to make some plays.
And, of course, you know, you pay dearly defensively.
