And I think in some ways that people part is one of the

You know, one of the most challenging parts of the investment New Zealand's got to make, the DCP, the Defence Capability Plan from last year, talks about growing the defence force workforce by 2,500 people by 2040.

That's a lot of people.

That's going to be a huge ask to recruit, persuade people they want to join up and serve and pay and retain them.

So...

All of those are really complex questions.

And I would say the one good thing is the Defence Capability Plan talks about being reviewed every two years to see if it's still making the right decisions, if the priorities are in the right place.

So at least there's a kind of built-in sense check as we go along to take into account some of these changes.
