That particular place and time is what I paint about.
So I start them off in that very, not loose way, but it's a feeling, an overall feeling.
And then I just work with it and it becomes more condensed and distilled.
And I see what's needed for it that makes it more in focus.
That's what I think where painting lies, is in that, you know, you don't want words, you just want to experience it and feel it.
When Lucien always talked about how things felt about looking at paintings, what it feels like, that stayed with me.
And I mean, what is fascinating when I first got the place was my sudden explosion of memories coming back to me when I was there, when I was in the land again.
And that's a nice feeling to have that I've now, you know, I've got a continuum.
And I do it through observing and reacting and putting it down in a certain amount of time.
