The FCC forced eight ABC TV stations owned and operated by Disney to file for license renewals today, years ahead of their scheduled expiration.
Disney made the filings under protest, calling the order unconstitutional.
Last month, the FCC said it was going to seek early reviews of these licenses due to concerns over Disney's diversity and inclusion programs.
Anthropic raised $65 billion in its latest funding round, and that new investment gives the artificial intelligence company a valuation of $965 billion.
That's above the value of OpenAI.
Separately, Anthropic is planning to widely release new AI models in the coming weeks with cybersecurity capabilities comparable to Mythos.
Previously, Anthropic said Mythos was too dangerous to make available to the general public.
In sports, MLB owners have proposed a salary cap for the first time since baseball's 1994-95 strike.
This proposal creates a cap of $245.3 million and a salary floor of $171.2 million.
Now, the proposal is aiming to level the playing field, pun intended, and improve competitive balance.
However, the Players Association has vowed never to accept a salary cap.
Incidentally, the current five-year deal expires on December 2nd.
A lockout next winter is expected, with talks likely to intensify in late February or early March 2027.
