We could survive.
But when we became more urbanised, we started having less children.

Kind of hard to have seven children or five children in a tiny space.

Delighted to say that joining me now is Louis Vincent Gave.
Louis is a very well-known name in macroeconomics as an analyst, has a bachelor's degree from Duke University.
Actually, very interesting, studied Mandarin, was a second lieutenant in the Mountain Infantry Battalion in France, then joined Paribas, worked as a financial analyst in Paris and Hong Kong.
And then coming up on nearly the 30 year anniversary in three years time of establishing Gavkal with his father, Charles and Anatoly Kaletsky.
And Louis has also seven books written.
I'm starting to read a couple of them myself.

Somebody with your experience, the nature of this podcast is the most important thing, right?
So I set the bar pretty high and it's designed to be evergreen, I suppose, the concept.
So somebody coming back to this five, 10 years from now, it'll still be relevant.
