And there's obviously a production company behind all of this as well.
Yeah, so this is really important.
Channel 4 doesn't actually make the show.
They just buy the license to broadcast the show.
But there's an independent production company behind Maths UK called CPL.
It has defended its welfare system as the gold standard.
It's basically said it's an industry leader.
that they act appropriately in every case of wellbeing allegations.
Channel 4 has really backed in this production company.
It said that CPL produces Maths UK under, quote, some of the most comprehensive and robust welfare protocols in the industry.
background checks, there's a code of conduct that all participants are signatories to, and it said that they conduct daily check-ins with contestants by a specialist welfare team.
The UK's PM has even weighed in on this.
Keir Starmer, a spokesperson for Keir Starmer, called these allegations extremely concerning and serious and said that there must be consequences for criminality or wrongdoing.
It feels like the whole of the UK is really getting involved and invested in this case.
You can imagine if something like this happened for Maths Australia, there would be so many eyes on it and so many responses and comments.
And, you know, the UK is only a bigger market.
