Susan told her friends that she wanted to try to save the marriage before leaving.
I do think that she did have a very strong faith in the LDS religion.
And I know that family, marriage, children, all those things come first, right?
You know, you're LDS.
They don't for you?
That's true, but I'm talking about the teachings, the religion.
What is hammered into her head is maybe she was not even concerned of her own safety.
It was more about, I made a commitment before God.
I married this man.
Maybe she's hopeful that it can just be improved.
Instead of splitting up, maybe she's trying to fix it, but you and I now know it's not fixable with him.
No, and also I feel like if you're concerned for your life, that that's irreparable maybe.
So now we get to December 6, 2009.
This is the day before Susan goes missing.
Susan and Josh have a neighbor over at their Utah home on Sunday afternoon.
The neighbor remembers Josh acting out of the ordinary, offering to make them dinner and willingly doing domestic tasks, which he always avoided.
I remember he made like pancakes or something.
This is like the last day?
Yes.
Like her last meal.
