Garrett Cole, while he's better than Shane Bieber, he's still coming back from the same surgery.
He's still going to feel the same things when he gets out on the mound.
So I don't think their starting rotation has anything to worry about because there's so much depth.
They have so much, and they're able to absorb the Max Freed injury.
To me, whether the Yankees, when they want to be a World Series champion team,
I'm surprised that they built just quite a little bit of a short bullpen.
They don't have that.
Like this guy year in and year out is a dominant closer.
And I get it last year.
They went and got that in Devin Williams and it didn't work out, but the Yankees always go and have that at the trade deadline.
They clearly knew what the market was for Robert Suarez.
They weren't going to be in on Edwin Diaz, all that stuff.
So it's an interest.
It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
Because they went and made their offseason acquisitions at the trade deadline last year, getting Bednar, getting Duvall.
And while very, very good arms, a great ability to lock down a ninth inning sometimes.
Is that what the Yankees need?
Well, is that what they can afford to have to push this team across the line to win the World Series that they want to win?
Yeah, but that's crazy.
And it's also, like, tell me the last time the Yankees went and made this massive, massive trade for somebody where, like, whoa, at the trade deadline, Cashman went and got this, like, huge, huge piece to add to this team.
