I'm not saying that we all live in each other's pockets, but, you know, we have a shared human being in common.

And it's just better if you get on.

And this would have been, I suppose, you know, many generations ago, we would have been very close in terms of you live on this street.

I live on the street, this road.

And it would have been so easy to pop in and out of each other's lives.

And I'll scoop all the kids up today from school or I'll do.

You know, it's much harder for people now, isn't it, in terms of geography, because people get scattered all over the place.

And I do think if you're physically close to somebody, then being a mother-in-law can be such a helpful role to play.

I'll pop in for an hour if you need to go get your hair done.

I've got two hours.

Yeah, you can go do that.

And that's how I think you could start to really build trust and a lovely relationship.

Absolutely.

I mean, one has to be there is a line to be trodden with.

advice which can very easily bleed into criticism or be perceived as criticism and i'm very sensitive to that i think as having worked as a doula for 10 years you know new mums are very vulnerable particularly and you are right in the center of somebody a time in people's lives when you know they are at their most vulnerable so you have to be quite careful and you know i respect that

I offer advice.

I would never say this is what you should be doing.

I will always say, have you thought about maybe?

Do they come to you now for advice?

I think they do because of my 10 years of experience and having brought them up.
