Actually, the answer is no.
And I know I'm not the unique one.
The vast majority of people are not religious.
See, this is very difficult to explain.

So I think you notice that there are so many convenience stores, right?
It's just convenience stores everywhere, especially cities.
Almost like in every block you find a convenience store.
A great place to get a boiled egg for lunch in my experience.
Right, right, an egg sundae.
Anyway, but the thing is the number โ
The number of the shrines and temples is actually three times more than the number of convenience stores.
And most of them are open to public.
And anybody can go in as long as in a respectful manner.
So to us, it's not really religion.
So when I was little, certainly...
I went to the shrines and temples and especially in a New Year's Day because that was a part of our tradition with my parents.
