My boss was named Bob Simmels.

Much later on, Bob served about 10 years for obstructive justice, witness tampering.
And so he's in our support group now.
He's a good friend of mine.
So every morning I would come into the office and I would get a call from Henry Hill.
And, you know, hey, Jeff, how you doing?
And I...
I was like his... I moved his money around.
I did his trades on Wall Street.
I called the banks.
He couldn't.
He was in the Witness Protection Program.
So for the six months I was there, I was Henry Hill's gopher.
It was crazy.
I did finally get to meet him though.
Wise Guys, yeah.
That was the name of the book.
And my personality was kind of perfect for this because I had been out of control, and my drug and alcohol use had diminished at that point, but not completely.
