She taught me so much about the intentionality, the intellectuality of the art, what is the legacy of the artist, how an artist can prepare for now, prepare also their posterity,
So if I was an artist, that's the part that I would be focusing on.
If I was an artist in this moment, I would be working towards that sort of a legacy.
You know, it is not something you think about it in the last moments.
And sometimes the artists in the moment, in their contemporary life,
I mean, it's kind of scary to think and quite morbid to think about, you know, the end when you still are in this sort of a beginning.
But I believe the institution, the publication and the critique you're surrounded with are essential to that journey.
as well as supporting, of course, you know, that sort of a private collecting and the market.
But to me, the real barometer of that journey and the factor of success is the presence of artists in a collectible or non-collectible way in those institutions and specifically the artists that are Afro descent.
I think it's very important that they engage early on with those institutions.
And recently, I found a box with all of the small catalogs and all of the press releases that I used to do myself.
