Because if if you're a historian, you look at it and you go, oh, well, this must have happened. If you're an archaeologist, yo, we're finding more and more evidence that it did, and yet we cannot nail it down. And it's frustrating. Makes me angry.

This is the fun part about ancient Hebrew. Right. Rephaim is a term that definitively can mean the spirits of the dead. Or at least the disembodied spirits of the dead, I guess. But there's also passages which suggest that it could refer to specific spirits of the dead. Those being the Nephilim. But not while they were alive.

But then there's mentions of Rephaim that suggests that they were a living race at some point. That were descended from the Nephilim. And then the Anakim are also described as descended from the Nephilim. Which is of course a problem because what happened to all of the Nephilim? The flood. And the big problem here is that technically none of these are contradictory. How so?

Could have been a local thing. Which, of course, then it's, well, who are these Anakim? Where'd they come from? Where are their Nephilim from? Which makes me think about the Sea Peoples. I wish our channel could be about that stuff.

One day. One day. That's my goal. I'm working a plan for a video on Nephilim into the rotation. This is the point in my life where I'm like, man, it would be nice to just have six months to do this. You know, I just had an idea. It wouldn't even take me that long. It would take me a week and a half.
