So they get to have no remorse.
They don't own up, admit to their actions.

And they don't own the fact that they're a murderer.
Are we supposed to be happy with that?
No, absolutely not.
Because he might get to walk out from behind them prison gates someday.
But me and Robert, we'll never be free.
We'll never be free.
We may as well, we may as well be locked in a dark room, a four by four dark room, because that's exactly what we're left with in life.
And daddy's brothers and his family to say, anyone that knew daddy, like we are left fitted with this dark heaviness that's now embroidered in the middle of us.
And there's no, we can't get out from that.
We know that no matter how many days go on, that void is always going to be there.
That darkness is always going to be there.
That he knows he can just take off the days on the calendar and one of these fine days, his days are going to run up on the calendar and he's going to be out.
