That woman was right.
There was another woman
similar MO, who he sexually assaulted.
And all of these three cases would later come to court.
Two of them he had pleaded not guilty to, as with the Brazilian student.
He pleaded not guilty, but it was a legal ruling
that happened while those cases were going on, where the judge accepted that other victims' evidence could be heard because it was systemic, what he was doing.
Okay.
There was... A pattern.
A pattern.
So other victims were going to come forward and then he pleaded guilty to the rape and the sexual assault of the two other women.
In the case of the Brazilian student, it went to trial and he was convicted of it.
So...
Ultimately, he was given a 14 year sentence for the rape and two eight year sentences for the sexual assault.
And it's for those crimes that Patrick Nevin has been in prison for the last 12 years.
I'm not sure.
That was just the legal ruling was that other victims' evidence could be heard.
And that's what convinced them to plead guilty.
Well, we know that Patrick Nevin was born in 1981.
His parents broke up when he was nine years old and then his father, Patrick Senior, he would have moved to Denmark and they would have lived in a town called Horsens.
