Do you want me to read it?
Yeah, you read it.
Dear Norman and Priya.
Long-time listener, first-time emailer.
I have been learning from the health report for many years and enjoy very much the banter between Norman and Priya and Tegan.
Norman needs to be kept in check after all.
I agree, Peter.
I'm an experienced organic chemist and former chemistry lecturer.
and admittedly somewhat pedantic when it comes to the accurate use of language, especially when speaking about chemicals.
I listened with interest to your interview of Prof Lucas and hearing about her team's excellent study on plastic-associated chemicals in the urine of people who had consumed food that had been in contact with plastics.
Note that Prof Lucas was careful to use the term plastic-associated chemicals, not microplastics.
the chemicals her team analysed for are small molecules, not polymeric plastics.
It was thus frustrating for me that the title of the segment is Reducing Exposure to Microplastics and after hearing Prof Lucas very carefully describe the chemicals of interest as plastic-associated chemicals, at the end of the segment, Norman again referred to microplastics.
Sorry, Norman.
Well, Kim Kardashian says yes, and I have great issues with it.
Oh, well, that's it then.
I'm going to have it done.
I'll see you next week back on my home ground.
I'll still be on Gadigal land.
