He's a big guy out in the community for them, so they would definitely be trading away a guy they think really a lot of.
He is one of their top all-around guys when you look at the whole picture.
But from a football perspective, I could see how that would make sense because if you think of the way the Steelers โ
have their addressers like Jack Sawyer would be like the Alex Highsmith replacement, right?
The bigger defensive end type, the guy who's really good against their run is gonna give you a little bit in the pass rush department too.
Now, Jack has a long way to go to get up to speed to do what Alex has done in the league, but yes, those guys are similar, so I could see that happening, but that's their guy, though.
Alex Highsmith is their guy.
Sign him to a second contract.
I don't know that they would want to do that.
Well, let's say Joey's the slam dunk, right?
Joey had a really good year.
I think they have to go out and sign him to market value for, you know, a top young corner in the league.
I don't know exactly what that is, but you're probably looking at 15 million or more to get him under contract.
And I think that's money well spent.
He knows the Steeler way.
He's gotten better and better each year.
I think that would be a good investment.
It gets a little bit murky after that, doesn't it?
Like with Broderick Jones and the neck injury,
I wrote about this in my mock draft, and maybe we'll get some light shed on it at the combine by Omar or Mike McCarthy, but where is Broderick Jones with his recovery from the neck injury?
