I would be such a helicopter parent.
All the algorithms that are like, are you doing this wrong?
Are you going to ruin your baby's life?
Are you going to put them in therapy?
Do this, watch this.
And I would consume it all.
I would watch it all.
I would pay for it all.
The fear mongering would work on me.
And so it was almost kind of nice in that aspect to hear another like ambitious woman say, hey, look, we kind of overcomplicate parenting.
They just need a safe place.
They can keep themselves, you know, preoccupied, relaxed.
Just look after them.
You don't have to supervise them 24-7.
You don't have to plan every hour of their day.
Let them be bored.
Let them figure it out.
It's okay if they watch a little bit of TV.
Screen time is not the enemy.
And her perception that with overcomplicated parenting, I respected it.
