And of course, we have the other story about I love the weird denial by Sean Parnell, the spokesperson for Pete Hegseth.

more than just the surface level.

The Financial Times had this big story about that somebody representing Pete Hagseth was shopping around looking to make a big purchase of sort of investments in the defense industry.

And it was it's clear the way and I got to read you the Parnell quote directly on this.

Because parsing it tells you everything you need to know.

about what is actually truthful in that Financial Times story.

Sometimes the spokesperson's response actually confirms a story they're trying not to confirm.

So Parnell on X says the following, that neither Secretary Hagseth nor any of his representatives approached BlackRock regarding an investment in the defense industrials active ETF.

Yeah, yeah.

Well, we, well, thank you, Chuck, for that.

so it's, he's denying the black rock portion of the story specifically, right?

Putting my problems in a nutshell, essentially.

Anytime you see a denial of specific details, but sort of not, he never overall denied that any of the, that the larger idea that he was looking for an investment in defense industries and that, you know, before the start of the war, he didn't deny any of that.
