18 Oct 2021

Description

Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info.In this episode Daniel interviews a former apprentice, Heather Northcutt. Heather has a degree in Equine Science from William Woods University and even taught there for a few years after graduation. She has experience with many breeds and disciplines, has won a World Championship in Jr. Ranch Trail, has been a ring steward at the biggest of shows, and also judges many of them. I've often said that some of the best and worst people in the world are in the horse business and I definitely count Heather as one of the best.Join us as we talk about the good old days and share several humorous and embarrassing stories, as well as talk about the things Heather has learned as a Judge and Ring Steward over the last 13 years. She and her husband Ty also own Southern Influence Kennels, where they breed and train top quality bird dogs. Toward the end of the interview, Ty joins us and tells a very funny story about a Spanish fighting bull that got in with their cows a few years back. We get into dogs and cats somewhat as well. You can find Heather and Ty via their website:   https://southerninfluencekennels.com/During this interview, I also discuss a true event from my own past that became a short story. The link to that short story is: https://www.dauphinhorsemanship.com/angel-short-story-entertaining-and-vastly-true/If you aren't already a subscriber to our website, you can still read this story and have access to limited content by opening a free guest account.
