IUD Reduces Blood Loss by 90% in Patients with Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Creinin, MD Dive into the research presented at the 2023 ACOG Annual Scientific and Clinical Meeting that found that the use of levonorgestrel 52-mg intrauterine device (IUD) in patients with heavy menstrual bleeding reduced blood loss by more than 90 percent over six months with Dr. Mitch Creinin, Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the Director of the Complex Family Planning Fellowship at the University of California Davis Health.
