Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Hello, I'm Stephen Carroll. I'm in Brussels, where many of Europe's biggest decisions get made.
And I'm Caroline Hepke in London. We're the hosts of the Bloomberg Daybreak Europe podcast.
We're up early every weekday, keeping an eye on what's happening across Europe and around the world.
We do it early so the news is fresh, not recycled, and so you know what actually matters as the day gets going.
From Brussels, I'm following the politics, policy and the people shaping the European Union right now.
And from London, I'm looking at what all that means for markets, money and the wider economy.
We've got reporters across Europe and around the globe feeding in as stories break.
So whether it's geopolitics, energy, tech or markets, you're hearing it while it happens.
It's smart, calm and to the point.

Chapter 2: What recent developments have occurred in US-Iran relations?
The rally in chip makers isn't letting up, with Intel, Micron and Qualcomm all extending record gains this morning as retail traders pile in on the AI trade. Not the case, though, for SoftBank, which plans to invest in AI. Its shares are down 6.3 percent following founder Masayoshi Son's plans to unveil an ambitious AI data center in France as soon as this month.
The Japanese entrepreneur is considering a multi-billion dollar investment in the country as part of SoftBank's broader build-out of AI infrastructure. Google parent Alphabet may be on the verge of overtaking Nvidia as the world's most valuable company. The gap between the two has narrowed considerably over the past six months, with just $400 billion in market value between them.
Alphabet's taken the lead in nearly every aspect of AI. Its shares were up 34% in April alone, its best month since 2004. And shares of Moderna are up since announcing it's working on a new hantavirus vaccine. So far, a French woman and two Americans linked to that outbreak on a cruise ship have tested positive less than a day after disembarking in Spain.
Still, health officials insist the risk of infection is still very low. Former CDC official Dr. Michael Osterholm.
The good news is, is that in a sense it is hantavirus and not another coronavirus or influenza virus.

Chapter 3: What are the main points of disagreement between the US and Iran?
This is one that has very limited ability to be transmitted person to person. In fact, it's a rare exception.
17 U.S. citizens will be checked out and monitored for a few weeks in Nebraska. And that's news when you want it with Bloomberg News Now. I'm Monica Ricks and this is Bloomberg.
I'm Francine Lacroix, an award-winning journalist, and I've got a new podcast, Leaders with Francine Lacroix from Bloomberg Podcasts. I've interviewed everyone from heads of state to fashion icons about the news of the moment. But I've always been curious, who are these people as leaders? I don't think there's one right way to be a leader.
Make decisions. A poor decision is always better than no decision.
Listen to new episodes every other Monday. Follow Leaders with Francine Lacroix wherever you get your podcasts.
This is Caroline Hyde. And I'm Ed Ludlow, inviting you to join us for Bloomberg Tech, a daily podcast focusing exclusively on technology, innovation, and the future of business.
