Pacers Win Ugly + Quinn Ewers Works Out With Colts! Joel Erickson, Evan Sidery, and Chris Denari Join!

(00:00-25:18) – Query & Company opens on a Hump Day Wednesday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing last night’s ugly win for the Indiana Pacers over the Washington Wizards. They also touch on the news earlier in the day that Quinn Ewers will be working out for the Colts today. (25:18-37:41) – Evan Sidery from Forbes Sports joins Jake Query to go around the NBA and discuss some of the playoff bound teams in the NBA. A good chunk of their conversation is centered around the Pacers by discussing which team they’d rather see in the playoffs, assessing which position Indiana should look at upgrading this offseason, and examines where Bennedict Mathurin and Jarace Walker fit in with the future of the Pacers. (37:41-48:51) – The first hour of the program concludes with Jake and Eddie touching on Brooks Barnhizer declaring for the NBA Draft, while maintaining college eligibility if the NCAA grants him a medical redshirt. (48:51-1:12:59) – The IndyStar’s Joel A. Erickson joins Query & Company to begin the second hour of the show and starts his conversation with Jake discussing the level of intrigue that the Indianapolis Colts have in Quinn Ewers. Additionally, they discuss his most recent piece on Braden Smith opening to Joel about his mental health struggles. (1:14:15-1:27:05) – Jake and Eddie rehash what must happen for the Indiana Pacers to clinch the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and potentially leapfrog the New York Knicks for the third seed. Also, Jake reveals some breaking news that is very close to him. (1:27:05-1:39:05) – Hour number two concludes with Jake sharing something that he did last night that he found pretty cool. Also, he and Eddie discuss the start of The Masters, what it means to people, and how much they actually watch the tournament. (1:39:05-2:04:32) – The television face, and voice, of the Indiana Pacers, Chris Denari, joins Jake Query to tip off the final hour of the program to recap last night’s game against Washington. He identifies Andrew Nembhard as a player that could benefit from the time off between the end of the regular season and postseason. Finally, he the first “smothered chicken” of the season from his broadcast partner, Quinn Buckner. (2:04:32-2:13:49) – Jake comes back from break and starts previewing this weekend’s IndyCar race briefly in California. He believes that Alex Palou has another really good chance at winning this weekend. Also, Jake discusses this weekend’s Indy Ignite game! (2:13:49-2:25:35) – Today’s show closes with Jake and Eddie running a couple of NBA Mock Drafts to see who will be selecting Cooper Flagg, and whom the Pacers would be selecting in the draft. Finally, they discuss where Braden Smith would fall in the draft if he elects for it, and stays in.
