The Indiana Pacers Are Heading to the NBA Finals! Co-Owner Steve Simon Joins!

(00:00-25:18) – Query & Company opens on Monday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison sharing their thoughts on the Indiana Pacers advancing to their second NBA Finals in franchise history. They discussed how they were feeling going into game six and what they observed in that game because it was the perfect summarization of this season. (25:18-36:39) – For the first of many times today, Jake takes calls from Pacers fans to discuss the environment at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the job the front office has done building this roster, and more!  (36:39-44:04) – The first hour of the program concludes with Jake taking more telephone calls from Pacers fans sharing their excitement that their team is advancing to the NBA Finals. (44:04-1:13:24) – Hour number two of the show starts with Jake and Eddie replaying the open from today’s show. Also, Jake discusses how the Pacers play as a TEAM and not a group of individuals because it embodies the city of Indianapolis. (1:13:24-1:19:43) – Jake continues celebrating the Indiana Pacers win by keeping the conversation about the players embracing each other as one versus having a couple of bad apples on the team. Also, he appreciates the style of play that Indiana plays with because it resembles something. (1:19:43-1:27:55) – The second hour of today’s show wraps up with Jake taking a call from a Pacers fan that has been following the franchise since their days in the ABA. They talk about the history of the organization and how much fun it was watching the ABA Championship team. (1:27:55-1:54:29) – Pacers co-owner Steve Simon makes his second appearance on the program to discuss his team making it to the NBA Finals for the second time in franchise history. He states that they want to keep this team together for as long as they can after the season, evaluates Jake’s suggestion at incorporating Slick Leonard in the arena during the NBA Finals, and discusses the similarities between Oklahoma City and Indiana’s roster construction.  (1:54:29-2:01:24) – For the first time of the week, Jake and Eddie give away a pair of tickets for a listener to go see Counting Crows in a couple of weeks at the White River State Park!
