I remember talking with my cousin actually two months ago about it and I still can't... I kind of black out in a part of it because it's all kind of surreal.

There was armed offenders up in the trees and stuff and... Oh, this is serious.

Surrounding the house and I'm just sitting at the window and... My cousin's telling me this actually because it's a lady they know came up the drive and...

She wasn't like, her's the police.

It was like, kia ora whānau.

It's blah, blah, blah.

Which was a more friendly, because obviously they didn't know who I am.

And I'm running around.

Running around with a gun.

Doing armed robberies.

So they're like, hey, we need to take all precautions, I'm guessing.

But once they came in and sort of went through the house and found what they found and took me in, you know, the gigs up, I didn't fight anything.

I didn't struggle or try and run away.

I just went through the process and I was ready for my IE.

I think I'd just turned 20.

Yep, I was 20 and a half because I went straight to men's, which was 20 at the time.

I'll tell you, it's a funny story to me, but I remember this was a Friday, and I had this bottle of Karuba rum sitting on my shelf, and I was like, yeah, I can't wait to sink into that tonight.

And when they arrested me and took me to the sours, I was like, damn, I really wanted to drink that rum.

That's what I say.

It's like, that's just where I was at, you know.
