Do you understand that? I have nothing. And then she hung up the phone and she leaned down, bent down because I was small and she put her hands on my shoulders and her forehead was next to mine and she shook me. She said, Marie, don't be stupid like I was. Do you see what I'm going through right now? Don't ever let a man control your money. Don't ever let anyone control your destiny.
