Yeah, so basically, this is the very first study looking at what happens when a pregnant woman takes Tylenol and then looking at the reproductive development in the child, in the female child.
No study has ever looked.
This study is the first to do so.
And what they found is extremely alarming.
In the mothers who would take the Tylenol, only two grams.
Right?
Two grams, it's like four caps throughout pregnancy.
That's it.
Their infants, their baby daughters, had 40% smaller ovaries and 20% smaller, or forty 20% less uh primordial follicles, ovarian follicles, and like 13% smaller uteri, uteruses.
And so this is extremely worrisome.
given that like half of pregnant women take Tylenol.
And so we could go through the mechanisms, the possible mechanisms of this if you want.
Yeah.
It was just these these standard doses.
It wasn't crazy doses.
But the strong part about the study was they literally directly measured these Tylenol metabolites in the urine of the pregnant women.
So it wasn't just self-reporting and they accounted for what's called confounding by indication, right?
