NYT: Kushner and Ivanka Trump subpoenaed in January 6 investigation

The New York Times reports that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have been subpoenaed by the special counsel investigating former President Trump’s involvement in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Special counsel Jack Smith has already subpoenaed former Vice President Pence to testify before a grand jury but he told reporters he’s “going to fight” the subpoena because it’s “unconstitutional and unprecedented.” Elliot Williams is a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General during the Obama administration.
