Every week, The Thread checks in with booksellers around the country about their favorite books of the moment. This week, we spoke with Matt Keliher from Subtext Books in St. Paul.Come in, sit down and just read the first 10 pages. That's how Matt Keliher sets the pitch for Valeria Luiselli's novel "Lost Children Archive.""There's a scene in the first 10 pages of this book that is probably my favorite scene in fiction this year," Keliher said. "It's a beautiful portrait of a small family in a really intimate moment, and it sets the stage for the rest of this book in a really interesting way.Luiselli's novel tells the story of a family on a road trip from New York City to Arizona."And the whole way on this road trip, you get an interesting portrait of the border histories of these states, and also the migrant experience of coming north into America. It is just a brilliant piece of storytelling," said Keliher."It's a phenomenal book ā one of my favorites of the year for sure." Lost Children ArchiveLost Children Archive
