This week, we spoke with Cathy Langer of the Tattered Cover in Denver.Langer shared the book that she's been personally recommending to readers looking for something "sweet but also with substance."The book is "The Trouble with Goats and Sheep" by Joanna Cannon. It's set in the U.K. in the summer of 1976, and it follows two young girls who take it upon themselves to investigate the disappearance of their neighbor by going door to door and asking questions, while masquerading as Brownies.Langer recommends it to "anyone who is looking for a slightly lighter read but something that's exquisitely written."
