This makes predicting future sales difficult. They talk about wanting to be the top video on the top carousel since that gets played first and most prominently. However, there's no clear way to control that placement. In terms of adapting to lower sales as the "new normal," Jim says he would keep making videos as that seems directly tied to higher earnings. Andrew is less motivated to make more videos if the return diminishes. They discuss considering incorporating better thumbnails and titles to try increasing clicks and conversions, which may lead to staying on the carousel longer. This could be tested by redoing some existing videos. The video creation skills from Amazon influencing could transfer to platforms like TikTok and YouTube. But significantly more effort is likely needed to gain traction there. Having an encouraging community helps motivate during discouraging periods. The Facebook group Side Hustle Heroes HQ provides this. Developing multiple income streams is advisable so you aren't solely dependent on unpredictable Amazon sales.
