Diamond shares her childhood experience of growing up with a disability (#Shoutout to her 2nd grade teacher… and the follow up story!), the differences she encountered between her elementary school and magnet high school, and how having a debate background helped her find her voice. “It's time for us to build a system for us.” Are schools designed for Black students? When will we begin to repair our community and have healing conversations? Can we talk about mental health?
