Leaders Tell the Chiropractic Story with Dr Ron Oberstein DC – Chiro Hustle Podcast 368

In August 2017, Dr. Ron Oberstein was named the third president of Life Chiropractic College West. Dr. Oberstein brings extensive experience and vision to the Life West community. He has rejuvenated the connection within the campus to the principles of Lasting Purpose; Giving, Doing, Loving, and Serving from our own abundance. Dr. Oberstein’s focus on developing chiropractors who are truly prepared for success in practice puts the clinical experience at the heart of Life West’s educational experience. His leadership honors the strong philosophical legacy of Life West while creating a cultural shift to bring Life West grads to the forefront of chiropractic education, leadership, and cultural authority. Dr. Oberstein graduated from Life Chiropractic College (now Life University) in 1981 and went on to own private practices in both Boston and San Diego with a total of 37 years of hands-on practice and a focus on family wellness care. Prior to becoming the president, Dr. Oberstein was a member of the Life Chiropractic College West Board of Regents from 1991 to 2016, including two years as the Chairman of the Board. He has been a member of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges since 1991. Dr. Oberstein serves as Chair of the Board of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges. He is the past Vice President of the International Chiropractors Association and was named a Distinguished Fellow of the International Chiropractic Association in 1996. He is significantly involved in many facets of engagement and professional development in the chiropractic community as well as state affairs. As an active member of the chiropractic community, Dr. Oberstein has served in instructional and leadership roles in numerous organizations. He has taught chiropractic technique, philosophy, and principles in multiple chiropractic colleges and throughout the world. Dr. Oberstein strongly conveys chiropractic vitalism with a deep understanding of the salutogenic health model and its incredible value for patient care. Dr. Oberstein has been a faculty member for CE at Life Chiropractic College West, Life University, and Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Oberstein and his wife, Dr. Mary Oberstein, have practiced together since 1986, serving multitudes of patients and mentoring new graduates. They travel the world spreading the chiropractic message, and started a non-profit organization delivering chiropractic care globally to children and adults in need with a focus in Tijuana, Mexico. Drs. Ron and Mary Oberstein have three daughters, Drs. Lauren, Morgan, and Sydney, all of whom are chiropractors.
