Ep65: Mets Hostage Crisis, World Series & Antonio Brown Fallout, Judge's Death in Gambling Case

29 Oct 2020

Description

The Rundown: 1) 5:15 - The World Series is over but its not without a major controversy looming over MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred. Who's at fault: Justin Turner, the Dodgers, Manfred -- all of the above? 2) 14:06 - Steve Cohen purchased the New York Mets for $2.4B. Well...he thought he did-- however, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio is trying to use an obscure provision in the Citi Field lease to void the sale to a "prohibited person." 3) 23:23 - What happens when a Judge passes away mid-case. Now, a Judge's death puts a crucial Wire Act decision In limbo with tremendous ramifications on the gambling industry. 4) 29:10 - Antonio Brown has re-united with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. This despite the fact that his sexual assault case has not yet been resolved. Innocent until proven guilty, of course, but this could still turn out to be an ugly PR move.  *** Have a question or something you want us to cover next episode?
