He is a Fellow of the Royal Society in Biology. He has been awarded numerous awards for his contributions to neuroimaging. Those contributions include the creation of Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM), Voxel-Based Morphometry (VBM), and Dynamic Causal Modeling (DCM).
