Trump to Target Countries That He Says are Taking Advantage of U.S.

President-elect Donald Trump is alleging that other countries have been exploiting the United States, and that this exploitation will soon come to an end. Trump has raised concerns over U.S. trade deficits with Mexico and Canada. He has pointed to European nations refusing the sale of U.S. goods, while American taxpayers cover a large portion of Europe’s defense costs. And Trump is also floating the use of tariffs and pressure to even the global playing field, while also revamping American production to bring wealth back to the country. The plan is causing controversy among foreign leaders as well as some economists. We’ll discuss this topic and others, in this episode of Crossroads.
