Dear FoundHer...

A Female Founder Redefining the Spirits Industry, with Mara Smith Founder of Inspiro Tequila

17 May 2022

Description

Mara Smith's professional days came to a halt when she was put on emergency bedrest while pregnant with twins. They were born prematurely and she needed to be there for them. While at home raising her three children, Mara always dreamed of starting her own company.  She also knew that with hard work and the right research---she could innovate any industry she put her mind to. Meanwhile,  Mara started drinking tequila when she was looking for a gluten-free drink to fit into her healthy lifestyle. But she couldn't find one free of additives, so she decided to create one.  To get her business started, Mara put in the necessary time and effort to self-educate herself about the spirits industry. As a #femalefounder, Mara has been focused on bringing the female perspective to the spirits industry. With a team of powerful women all over the world, Mara has been able to bring her vision to life.UPDATE FROM OUR TAPING: Mara now has a distributor in Illinois and Inspiro can be found in stores in Illinois!Tune into this week’s episode of Dear FoundHer… to learn more about the power of research, the importance of leaning on others for help, and why all women need to know it’s okay to re-enter the workforce no matter what stage of life you are in.Quotes• “There are a lot of resources that are available to get you up to speed pretty quickly and you just really have to take advantage of them.
