I felt like that would be such a dishonor to Jackson.” (10:07-10:13) [Carrie]• “The biggest and most important decision that we made was that we decided we were going to provide parking and only parking. We had a lot of people calling and calling us asking for other things, but we stayed true to our mission.” (19:57-20:15) [Carrie]• “We are very clear on what we provide. Our impact is clear. Where your money goes is clear so there's no confusion. And the feedback from our donors has been very positive and they think that is something that sets us apart and makes them feel really secure in donating to us.” (20:21-20:40) [Carrie]• “With one employee, board members, and all volunteers, we have to be really smart with our resources.” (27:52-27:55) [Carrie]• “My hope and dream is that when I leave this earth, I would love to know that parking will be covered at the major Chicago hospitals in perpetuity.” (32:04-32:16) [Carrie]• “One of the things that I found most frustrating was when people talked around it. Don’t be afraid to just ask for support or donations, and then also be okay with someone saying no.” (39:44-39:59) [Carrie]Connect with Carrie Meghie:Website | https://www.jacksonchance.org/Instagram | http://www.instagram.com/jacksonchance11Please don't forget to rate, comment, and subscribe to Dear FoundHer on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts!Stop spinning your marketing wheels and start building a community you can monetize.  JOIN ME for Big Impact Marketing for Small Business, a new way to work with me.  REGISTER HERE Want even more resources for growing your business?• Grab one of Lindsay’s FREE quick small business marketing guides: https://www.lindsaypinchuk.com/freebie• Follow Lindsay on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lindsaypinchukUse code FoundHer for 50% off your first month with both HiveCast and FiresidePodcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm Hosted on Acast.
