Kennedy Center Accused of $26 Million Financial Fraud

According to Ric Grenell, the interim leader of the Kennedy Center, an internal review reportedly found a significant amount of what he calls "phantom" or "fake" revenue in the organization's recent budgets, totaling $26 million. Grenell states that this finding is being referred to the U.S. Attorney's office, the Department of Justice, and the FBI for investigation, as he believes it constitutes fraud by previous leadership. He also mentioned that the center had been using debt reserves to pay staff salaries, which he described as another aspect of this alleged fraud.
