Binge Eating, Diagnosis and Nutritional Myths with Libby Rothschild featuring Becca King and Zoe Klein.

Libby sat down with Zoe & Becca to get clear on binge eating, getting the full picture of your client, and how to provide a safe space for overall healing.  Becca King is a Registered Dietician Nutritionist who helps young women like herself who have ADHD and struggle with binge eating, chronic dieting, and body image issues find food freedom and improve their self-esteem. She's passionate about using the principles of intuitive eating and a weight inclusive approach to nutrition.  Zoey is a social worker who works primarily with individuals struggling with eating disorders, in particular binge eating disorder.  Zoe has been able to not only motivate people towards full recovery but also help many people come out of the woodwork and get the support that they deserve.    Zoe says, “So as a social worker, the clients that I've seen with binge eating disorder are some of the smartest, most resilient people that I probably ever worked with. These are actually really, really determined, good people. But the problem is, is that society just sees the bingeing, right. They don't see these long periods of restriction. They don't see these clients desperately trying to have a good relationship with food and understand what's going on.”   “I do a small group coaching, so creating a space for my clients to be around other people who also have ADHD and they maybe have never been in a group of people who also have ADHD. Providing a non-judgmental space for a lot of clients is huge because they've never been able to do that before.
