Dietitian Boss with Libby Rothschild

Jill Took Flight At Age 48 When She Became an RD and Now Helps Pilots Improve Their Health

21 Sep 2020

Description

Yaa gets to chat with Jill on today’s episode!  Jill Mongene is a Registered Dietitian and former tax accountant, run coach, and metabolic specialist. Jill became a dietitian at age 48 after helping her husband, a 34-year widebody international commercial airline pilot, with his celiac disease, high blood pressure, and prediabetes.  Jill went directly from her internship into private practice. As a former tax accountant, she spent over 10 years behind a desk with no vacations and filing thousands of tax returns with little human contact. Funny that during her didactic program, a professor told her she would never get an internship if she did not have kitchen experience.  With over 15 years of experience working with commercial and cargo Arline pilots, she was able to help improve their health for more successful results in the Federal Aviation Administration Medical Certificate Exam.  She is passionate about making nutrition easy and fun to reduce the stress pilots face now, during COVID, and always.  “My husband is 61 years old. He doesn't even know how to use a computer. And he sat on the couch and said, "This is never going to work for you. You need to figure something else out."  When someone gives me a challenge, I step up to the plate and I was like, "I am going to show you." -Jill Mongene Guest Resources: Connect with Jill on Instagram: @pilot.nutritionist Free Resources from Libby Are you ready to start your journey?
