Disruptors at Work: An Integrated Care Podcast

Psychological PPE with Dr. Cara English, DBH

22 Jan 2021

Description

In Aug 2019 after surveying 5 and a half thousand adults, the CDC estimated that anxiety symptoms have tripled and depression symptoms have quadrupled. Similar results were found in a May 2019 survey of pregnant and postpartum mothers; anxiety went from 29% pre-pandemic to 72% and 74% of mothers rated their mental stress as worse than prior to pandemic. Statistics like these often only add to our depression and burn out because they aren’t very helpful. So, what? You might be thinking? What can we do about that? In this podcast episode Dr, Cara English, DBH shares a set of daily practices and strategies referred to as psychological PPE or mental health first aid that you can utilize to promote your own mental health wellbeing.
