Zohran Mamdani the Rapper? / Yoga and Medicine

Recently, Zohran Mamdani won a historic victory in New York City’s mayoral election. However he also had a rap career in the not too distant past. So today, Ali and Asif review 5 of Mamdani’s songs, done under the pseudonyms Young Cardamom and Mr. Cardamom (5:21). They discuss and grade the following songs: Wabula Naawe, PSV,  Kanda (Chap Chap), #1 Spice and Nani. Then since Mamdani’s mother (acclaimed film director Mira Nair) is a big proponent of yoga, in the second half Ali asks Asif about medical uses of yoga (24:10). They start off (after a brief digression on cultural appropriation) by talking about the different types of yoga examined in medical studies (Hatha, Iyengar, and Viniyoga).
