He highlights the STOP CA trial, which aimed to assess the effectiveness of atorvastatin in preventing cardiac dysfunction associated with these cardiotoxic medications. The study involved a double-blind, placebo-controlled design and included patients aged 18 and older who were scheduled for anthracycline therapy. Exclusion criteria ensured a clear focus on participants without prior statin therapy or certain health conditions.
